Newton Abbot Library sits within The Passmore Edwards Centre, a focal point for the local community. As well as the wide range of books, music, films, magazines and other resources, visitors to the area can enjoy the Owl and the Pussycat café and courtyard, while community organisations and commercial companies can hire the Centre’s meeting rooms for events and meetings. The friendly library staff are on hand to help and support you with any queries, and regularly host a range of events and activities from storytimes for children, author events, book groups and IT support. Newton Abbot Library is also home to the UK’s second largest collection of railway studies books and reference materials after York's National Railway Museum and is an access point for adult learning.
